Frequently Asked Questions

Where will my massage or bodywork session take place? At your home, or at my office at 8 Main St. in Seal Harbor. 
Must I be completely undressed? You may undress to your comfort level, usually, the underwear is left on, and in modalities such as shiatsu, or Myo- skeletal alignment, the client would wear loose fitting clothing. 
Will the practitioner be present when I disrobe? NO. I will leave the room and wash my hands while the client disrobes. 
Will I be covered during the session? At all times. 
What parts of my body will be massaged? Sessions are generally whole body (excluding the genitals and the breasts) unless the client prefers an hour on specific places such as neck and back work, or foot reflexology. Feel free to express what you need from a session, so that the practitioner can tailor the session to your needs. 
What will the massage or bodywork feel like? It feels great! You may be spacey afterwards and should allow space and time to rebound, where you can have quiet and water, and maybe some gentle movement.
Are there different kinds of massage and bodywork? Many different kinds from all over the world!
What should I do during the massage or bodywork session? Relax and try to let go!
How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session? Everyone is different, but you should feel relaxed and peaceful. 
What are the benefits of massage and bodywork? Bodywork clears the mind, boost confidence, helps balance body image and diet, helps sleep, reduces anxiety, realigns the joints and relaxes and detoxes the muscles. 
Are there any medical conditions that would make massage or bodywork inadvisable?There are many. Check with your practitioner about your history and concerns you might have.
